TinkerKit - Sensor Shield V.2

The TinkerKit Sensor Shield V.2 allows you to easily connect TinkerKit sensors and actuators. No need for a breadboard or soldering, just connect via TinkerKit 3-wire cables to power and operate the various sensors and actuators in the Tinker It range. The shield has 12 3-pin connectors for connecting Tinker It peripherals. The 6 connectors named I0 to I5 are analogue inputs and the 6 connectors O0 to 05 are analogue outputs connected to the pins that can realise the PWM output of the Arduino. It is possible to change the assignment of the O0 to 05 output connectors to digital inputs to use on/off sensors (high or low state), but not for purely analog sensors.


Specifications

The pin mapping on the Arduino is as follows:

• Pin 11 on the Arduino is wired to O0 on the shield.
• Pin 10 on the Arduino is wired to O1 on the shield.
• Pin 9 on the Arduino is wired to O2 on the shield.
• Pin 6 on the Arduino is wired to O3 on the shield.
• Pin 5 on the Arduino is wired to O4 on the shield.
• Pin 3 on the Arduino is wired to O5 on the shield.
